Antonio García Tola. Artist. More than 80 years of art.

Antonio García Tola at a very early age began to stand out in painting, at the age of 9 he won the Valladolid Province Painting Prize. He abandoned his medical studies to enter the School of Arts and Crafts in Madrid, traveled to Paris in '68 and toured Europe exhibiting his works. Paris, Berlin, Brussels, London, Prague, Moscow, etc.

In 1975 he resumed his activity in Madrid, exhibiting in several Spanish cities (Madrid, Barcelona, Valladolid, A Coruña, Alicante, etc.). His last exhibition was in Madrid in 2007 with great success with the public and sales.

Starting in 2000, he retired to his studio in the mountains of Madrid, where he decided not to submit to the pressures of the market.

Many speak of him as a "crazy dreamer", he prefers to define himself as a Chaotic and Anarchist Artist. He doesn't like rules, he doesn't like "the business" and he never wanted to "learn" to trade in art.

In the year 2024, continue defending art for art's sake, without money and without pressure, art is priceless and it is everything.

Many other artists spoke about him such as Fernando G. Tola, José Luis Coll, Juan DIego or Alfonso Abelenda among others.

"My brother is a crazy bohemian and a disaster, but I have not met a greater artist than him."

Fernando G. Tola 1990

"Antonio Tola brings out art where there is none, a bohemian and crazy dreamer who lives in the wrong world. Genius and Artist with capital letters who delights us with his work"

Alfonso Abelenda 2003

His works of art are spread all over the world, mainly in Europe, in many very important private collections and in different museums.
